The company, Fischer Machinery and Apparatus Construction Company (Fischer Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH), is run by the brothers, Harald, Bernhard and Herbert Fischer (from left to right in photo).
At home in Austria but sought worldwide
1933: Mr. (Dipl.-Ing.) Ernst Fischer founded the Austrian company, Fischer Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH. At the beginning, this machinery builder produced the most varied machines for the food industry. Its own production, paired with competent engineering skills made it possible, already back then, to provide customer-specific, customized construction that remains one of its greatest strengths today.
1945: The company decides to specialize in the production of plate heat exchangers and centrifugal pumps for the food industry, especially the beverage industry. As a result, FISCHER was one of the first companies anywhere in the world that manufactured plate heat exchangers for the food industry.
Starting in the 60s when the second generation took over, sales activities could be expanded beyond the borders of Austria into all of Europe.
1964: An additional factory in Ebreichsdorf, 18.6 miles south of Vienna was built. This is where the company's headquarter is located today.
In the 80s, the third generation gradually took over the company. With this began the initial activities to extend the sales network worldwide.
Since 1997, the company has been led by Dr. techn. Harald Fischer, Ing. Bernhard Fischer und Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Herbert Fischer. Under this new leadership, not only were plate heat exchangers improved in terms of construction and performance but in addition, a Process Technology Department was founded. It has specialised in the design and manufacture of semi- and fully-automatic pasteurization systems, consistent with the demands of the food industry.
Through constant development, research and the resulting innovations, today's management has succeeded in expanding Fischer Machinery and Apparatus Construction Company into a truly international undertaking with the most modern manufacturing and a worldwide sales network. The consistent development of products over several decades assures our customers of the highest quality, precision and reliability.
We are pleased that, thanks to our steady technical and commercial improvements, not to mention our sensitivity toward the environment, our products now number among the very few at the pinnacle of the international market. |
